Terms of service

Last updated: October 27, 2026

These terms apply when you use this website or hire SolvTek LLC, doing business as SolvTek Garage Doors, for garage door service. The written quote for your job is part of these terms, and if the two differ, the written quote wins.

Quotes

This site does not publish prices. Every job is quoted individually, based on your door and what it needs. You get the quote in writing (by text, WhatsApp, email or on paper) before any work starts.

Each quote states what it includes and how long it is valid. After that period, the quote may change. Odd sizes or damage the photo or video didn’t show are quoted in writing before we go on.

Visits to quote

If we need to see the door in person to quote it, we tell you before we come whether the visit has any cost. We never charge you for anything we didn’t tell you about first.

Written approval

No work starts until you approve the quote in writing (by text, WhatsApp, email or signed quote). If we find something else during the job, we send you a photo and a written quote for it, and nothing continues until you approve it. There are no verbal add-ons.

Hours and after-hours work

We work Mon-Sat 7 am-8 pm. Sundays, holidays and after 8 pm: call or WhatsApp us to check availability. After-hours jobs are also quoted in writing before we book them, and the quote states any additional charge for the time.

Payment

We accept cash, Zelle, ACH, credit or debit card. Payment is due when the job is done, and you get an invoice from SolvTek LLC. New-door orders may require a deposit to place the factory order. If so, the written quote states the amount, and the balance is due when installation is complete.

New doors and permits

We install doors with a current Miami-Dade NOA or Florida Product Approval. The NOA number and its expiry date are on your quote. Installs are permitted through our general contractor partner.

Timing depends on the factory and the permit office, so we give you an estimate and keep you updated. You agree to give us access to the home for installation and inspection.

If you paid a deposit and cancel before we place the factory order, we refund it in full. Once the order is placed, the door is built for your opening and usually can’t be returned, so the deposit is not refundable.

Warranty

1-year parts / 90-day labor, counted from the job date. It covers defects in the parts we install and in our workmanship. If something fails inside that window, text us and we come back and fix it at no charge.

  • It doesn’t cover damage from accidents, vehicle impact, storms or flooding, misuse, or parts and work done by others.
  • It doesn’t cover normal wear on parts we didn’t replace.
  • New doors and openers also carry the manufacturer’s warranty, which we pass on to you.

Safety

If a spring or cable is broken, keep the door closed and don’t use it until we’ve looked at it. We may decline to work on a door or opener that isn’t safe to repair, and we’ll explain why.

Website information

Guides and answers on this site are general information, not engineering, legal or insurance advice. For questions about your policy or permits, ask your insurance agent or the building department. For your job, what your written quote says is what applies.

Limit of liability

To the extent Florida law allows, our responsibility for any job is limited to redoing the work, replacing the parts, or refunding what you paid for that job. Nothing in these terms limits rights that Florida law doesn’t allow us to limit.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida.
